Our Lady Wounded and Insulted

Our Lady Wounded and Insulted

Palm Sunday, parishioners of All Saints Church in Houston, Texas, left Mass and discovered that vandals had attacked the beautiful statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in the grotto at the side of the church. The grotto was erected in 1945 in memory of those from the parish who had given their lives in World War II. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the historic All Saints Parish, and the 150th anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette at Lourdes, France. You can print a prayer of reparation to Our Lady Wounded and Insulted by clicking here.

It’s Time to Plant a Mary Garden

de la Vega Mary Garden

Indoors or out, it’s time to plant a Mary Garden as a special tribute to the Blessed Virgin. A Mary Garden can brighten your landscape and provide a special place for quiet prayer. Apartment dwellers can create a mini-garden in a dish, suitable for a table or enclosed patio. Either way it is a great way to honor Our Lady.
