Summer is Sandals and Toes
Time!
Hot weather is time for sandals. Tori decorated her flip flops. She had so much fun that she made other pair for her friends. You can, too!
Tori’s Fancy Flip Flops

- 4 9”X12” pieces of felt
- 1 pair rubber flip flops
- Glue ons and hot glue gun (optional)
- Glitter glue (optional)
- Pinking shears (optional)
- Glow-in-the-dark fabric paint (optional)
Fold felt pieces in half and cut ¾” by 6” strips.
Starting at the point where the strap meets the soul, tie strips one at a time around the strap until you reach the center of the strap. Begin the second side at the point where the strap meets the sole on the other side. You will use approximately ten strips per side. If you like, attach glue ons with hot glue and or decorate with glitter clue or glow-in-the-dark fabric paint.

There are a number of things we can do to inculcate a spirit of patriotic pride and love of our country in our "little people." If we teach them to love and appreciate their country now, they will be ready to lead it in the right direction when they are "big
people." Adult supervision is recommended for this activity.)
